Big Island, Hawaii
Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa
offers an array of activities housed within the resort’s 22-acres. To begin with, hit the pool.  Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa boasts a 200-foot long waterslide and a multi-level system of pools that rank the best in Hawaii.  A hula halau rehearses on the grounds of the resort twice a week, expressing the history of Hawaiian culture through dance.  Hawaiian storytelling or ‘olelo is presented, offering families a chance to learn about the legends of old Hawaii.  Manta Ray "season" is all year long and guests get up close to watch the amazing creatures from a special viewing area at the resort, as the graceful manta ray gather most evenings along the shoreline to feed. Visitors seeking a closer view may board the Hula Kai boat at nearby Keauhou Bay for a nighttime manta snorkel or scuba dive. An outdoor dinner show invites guests to enjoy a Hawaiian feast while listening to the music of Hawaii twice a week.

Kauai
Sitting high up on the cliffs of Princeville overlooking the Pacific Ocean, The Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas provide a wide range of fun, educational and cultural activities with the Westin Kids Club. The kids can learn how to speak in Hawaiian or Olelo Hawaii, create coconut postcards, lei making and understand how to navigate by stars. The spouting Honu, which means Green Sea Turtle in Hawaiian, is available for children to play with in the Kid’s Pool. The club focuses on giving an authentic experience that will always be remembered.  The resort also offers a babysitting service for parents wanting a night out without the kids. Marc Bennor the resorts director of fun, is dedicated to creating fun and memorable experiences, for all ages including personalized teen fitness programs utilizing his past experience as a division one football coach. 


Maui
The Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa sprawls across 23 acres of family paradise on world-famous Ka’anapali Beach. is perfect for the entire family.  The resort’s ‘super-pool’, Helumoa Playground is filled with two state-of-the-art fresh water swimming pools, waterslides, whirlpools, and poolside cabanas. Creative family activities include lei making, hula lessons, storytelling, and Polynesian woodwork carving. If that isn’t enough, light up the barbecue and turn up the heat at the Paniolo Summer Barbecue located within the hotel at the Kai Market. Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa will take you on a “Hotel Historical Tour” every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Historical Room on the second floor of the resort. The Moana Surfrider also allows parents to sign up their kids for family friendly activities like fireside story telling, sandcastle competitions, and movie nights.

The Royal Hawaiian, A Luxury Collection Resort brings the authentic Hawaiian culture to the luxurious hot spot.  The resort offers a culturally hands-on weekend with free classes for shell lei making lessons, which is being offered every Friday. Flower lei making lessons are offered every Saturday, and hula lessons every Sunday.  Other family activities include a Sandcastle Building Contest, which takes place daily from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. and a history tour from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. The “Amelia Earhart in Hawaii” exhibit first opened its doors on July 24 to coincide with her birthday. The display documents her time in Hawaii in the 1930’s along with featuring a collection of recently discovered and rarely seen photos from Matson Navigation Company Archives.  The exhibit will be available to view in the resort’s Coronet Lounge until the end of the year.
